Overall, the NuPhy Air75 V2 embodies the youthful, dynamic character that NuPhy has built, clearly expressed through its vibrant keycap color schemes. However, in its mid-range price segment, NuPhy still ensures a luxurious and modern look by incorporating a premium aluminum frame.

The aluminum frame is just high enough to cover the switch stems while maintaining an ultra-thin overall keyboard profile.

The bottom panel is made of transparent ABS plastic, allowing a clear view of the hidden keys underneath. NuPhy scores 10 points for finesse with a mirror-polished metal information plate, which enhances the aesthetic of the plastic bottom while cleverly concealing the battery compartment.

The back panel is the most intricately upgraded design feature from V1 to V2, with enhanced PBT plastic transparency to clearly reveal the internal structure.

• Improved materials for the keyboard plate

An advanced aluminum alloy stamping method was used to achieve a seamless unibody aluminum design. This method allows NuPhy to completely hide the mechanical switches under the aluminum frame and keycaps while maintaining a simple structure. It also significantly reduces the product’s weight compared to traditional CNC machining.

The aluminum frame in the Air75 V2 has been upgraded with precision laser processing and anodization on the top surface.

Acoustic engineering is increasingly seen as a critical factor in keyboard sound quality. NuPhy claims this technique was previously only applied to the Air96 model. For the Air75 V2, NuPhy continued using it with IXPE PCB acoustic tuning, successfully achieving deeper and clearer switch sounds. Additionally, NuPhy applied silicone sound-shaping technology, derived from the design of their Ghostbar spacebar, for a more flexible typing feel and enhanced “thock” sound from the switches.

   1. Clicky Group: Blue Switch 2.0

• Not recommended for those who dislike the noise of mechanical keyboards. Suitable for gaming and those who enjoy the tactile “clicky” sound when typing.
• Characteristics: Fast response, relatively heavy keypress, and distinct tactile feedback.

   2. Linear Group: Red 2.0 / Aloe / Cowberry

• Ideal for those who prefer mechanical keyboards but dislike noise. This group ensures a quiet, smooth sound, with Cowberry having the softest and deepest sound profile.
• For gaming needs requiring fast response, good keypress, and smooth actuation without sticking, Red Switch and Cowberry Switch perform well. However, if you need additional force feedback to register keypresses, Cowberry gets an extra point.
• For office use where noise might disturb others, any of these three switches are great choices. All three allow comfortable typing and reduce hand fatigue during long sessions. For newcomers to mechanical keyboards unsure about which to choose, Aloe Switch is a safe option. The high sensitivity of Red 2.0 and Cowberry, combined with their light actuation force, may require some adjustment when transitioning from rubber dome keyboards to mechanical ones.
